Wrapping with Bubble, made easy – with AIRmove

The packaging market offers a number of possibilities for shipping fragile and sensitive goods safely - for example, loose fill packaging chips, paper padding, PE foam or corrugated cardboard. For smaller enterprises or companies, which do not have a logistics or packaging function of their own, it is often very difficult to source suitable in the box packaging material or packaging machinery because of the smaller quantities required. For this reason, packing paper, padding paper, air-cushioning film or simply just newspaper are often used for filling, stuffing or padding packages. This form of packaging is not only very time consuming, it does not look very attractive or professional in the eyes of the end-customer when unpacking the goods. This particular subject has been reviewed by the engineers at Storopack who have developed an aesthetically pleasing packaging system with filling material, which operates simply and efficiently. The aim of this project was to replace all fillers, such as corrugated rolls, service packaging or bubble with just one protective packaging product. At the same time, it was intended to make an economic option available to users with small shipping volumes, instead of just for those with large industrial operations, which – as in the case of AIRmove – can be simply placed on a table-top surface to produce the necessary bubble on demand packaging material.
The concept: as usual, an outer box made of corrugated board should be used as the external protective casing. The product - together with the air pillows from the new AIRmove machine - is placed in the carton. The air-cushioning material can be used to fixate, void fill gaps or for padding out the package, depending on the application. The operation of the small packaging machine is quite simple: The air cushions can be produced relatively effortlessly – and only then, when they are needed. This means that there is no need for stockpiling filling material – which just takes up a lot of room! The air cushions, which are often referred to colloquially as bubble or air-cushioning film, can be produced in various degrees of filling and simply torn off along the perforations.

The result: products can be efficiently packaged in a few seconds providing effective protection and a professional appearance. Because in comparison to PU foam, scrunch or tissue paper, loosefill packing chips, kraft paper, AIRmove air bags give a very modern impression! State-of-the-art, fresh and uncomplicated – quite like AIRmove itself!
